Now that summer has officially ended, here's a look back at just how hot it was in terms of triple-digit heat. All of our major climate sites easily tallied double digits for the number of days at or above 100 degrees, and all had at least one day at or above 105 degrees! #summer

The calendar says fall has arrived, but the forecast still says otherwise. While it will be slightly milder with lower humidity than recent days, high temperatures will remain well above average for most areas. If there's any consolation, mornings will be much more comfortable. h

Precipitation chances are trending above normal as we close out September, with a slight risk for heavy rain heading into early October. With the ongoing drought and fire danger concerns, this is welcome news and should also provide for a slight drop-off in temperatures as well.
