@dominicgates Best wishes for your retirement. Thanks for your aviation journalism over the years. Your coverage of the Max saga was gripping.

@dominicgates Congrats & happy retirement Dominic ! You will be missed, your exposes will be missed, Twitter will miss you & let me tell you that most of all Boeing will miss the way you made them shine a light on less than kosher practices.
Aviation owes you big time.

My last post on X
I will get breaking news slower, but in retirement I'll have time.
For mental health it's best I leave what's become a swamp of distortion, lies, stupidity, pornography and hatred
Below is a souvenir mock front page

@dominicgates You deliberately misquoted people to make stories.
You are a liar. Nothing toxic there, just a fact.

My successor will be @LRosenblatt_ who for the past year has helped me out with Boeing while at the same time covering Amazon
She's smart and passionate. She'll bring new energy to chronicle what we all hope will be a real recovery at Boeing and the launch of its next airplane

FYI
I will delete this X app from my phone next week and post no more. It's become poisonous, stupid, damaging.
Of the 22K followers I had at one point, I guess a few 100 were real aviation followers, the rest trolls and bots
Thank you to the true followers around the world.
