Nozomu Shishido, the legendary One Piece director behind some of the best episodes of Egghead, has been absent from directing for all of Elbaph. SPECULATION: While there's NO official info on who will direct the upcoming Films, what if he's been busy directing God Valley...? 👀 h

Shonen Jump will be on break after this Sunday's chapter (1193) due to Silver Week, a rare holiday only observed every few years when certain September festivities line up on the same week, causing Jump to not release. One Piece will return with 1194 on September 28th. 92.7K views · 1.9K likes · 88 reposts · 17 replies Open on X →
@newworldartur This theory is really interesting,it also fits with Roger wishing he lived in Joyboy's era. A comic book showing how people lived and maybe what happened to them would definetely change how people see the Marines/Goverment. 23.3K views · 155 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
And I can't think of anything more beautiful than the treasure itself being an expression of everything this series means so much to us. The One Piece manga is our treasure. (25/25) Thanks for reading! Check out the full video for a better breakdown: https://t.co/FzsqRR44Yx 53.8K views · 616 likes · 23 reposts · 13 replies Open on X →
This is all in much the same way as how One Piece has helped change our own lives. One Piece, the manga, has impacted so many of us to the point that it has inspired us to become better people. Even in a small way, it has helped bring a change for the better (24/25) https://t.co/

I'm not saying the One Piece treasure is literally the irl OP manga with Luffy, but rather that it's a "laugh tale" about Nika that symbolizes the power stories can have on people, just like how Oda played with semi-meta narratives with how Gear 5th breaks the fourth wall (23/25)

What the Government always feared the most, as Clover said, is the ideals of the ancient kingdom, because they rule through propaganda (something the comic of the "Warrior of the Sea (Imu)" embodies). And propaganda can only be fought by spreading the truth of history (22/25) htt

But the One Piece treasure itself is something that will help change the world because books are some of the best ways of helping educate people. By teaching future generations about freedom, love, equality, and to think for themselves, the world can slowly be changed (21/25) htt

Whitebeard said that the One Piece would turn the world upside down, but while this term is often mistranslated as meaning a big conflict, the Japanese word is closer to "overturning the system", to bring a social change to the world as a whole (19/25) https://t.co/bZA407PsF3

The ancient weapons are likely what will spark a conflict and help make a change to pave the way for the One Piece to be spread to a liberated world. This is why Roger was too early, which was confirmed due to being because the ancient weapons weren't born yet (20/25) https://t.c

You could even see Binks's Sake as an orally passed down version of the story, or even something as silly as the equivalent of is theme song or anime opening. Even the straw hat you could see it as some form of merchandising or cosplay if you went really meta (18/25) https://t.co

This dream eventually took the form of the Nika fruit, who the first user of the fruit, perhaps even "Binks" himself, ate and became the first "Joyboy". But even after dying, they wanted the comicbook that inspired them to be preserved for future generations (16/25) https://t.co/

I've mentioned before how I believe Imu is the famous "Sea Devil" (and the Gorosei its devil spawns), but what if much like Nika, the "Sea Devil" was the cartoonish antagonist of the story who was incarnated by King Nerona Imu through some devil power (17/25) https://t.co/0BZ8Lou

I believe that in the Void Century there existed a comicbook about Joyboy that slaves, in their desperation and pain, wished could somehow be real and come save them, because this funny story was their only respite in an otherwise world of suffering (15/25) https://t.co/2ev3PyAJ0

You laugh. Just like Roger did. This perfectly explains why Roger laughed, because he was reading Joyboy's silly comic. As it was said, Joyboy has the power to "bring smiles and laughter to people's faces by acting silly", through being a funny fictional character (14/25) https:/

Joyboy is literally a character "out of a comic strip" as Kaido put it. This is why he is so cartoonish, because he literally IS a cartoon rubberhose character taken from an old comic. And what emotion does that evoke in you when you see Luffy transformed as Joyboy? (13/25) https

But then what is the One Piece treasure...? Well, I think it's very simple. It all ties together. Joyboy is a fictional superhero and the main character of the One Piece. I believe the One Piece treasure is a "laugh tale", a book, the comic version of Binks's Sake (12/25) https:

To clarify, some people believe that Nika is the name of the God while Joyboy is the name of the fruit's first user. But it's already been stated how Luffy became a "Joyboy", meaning it's a title associated with those who eat the fruit and become the character (11/25) https://t.c

This doesn't mean a "Joyboy" didn't exist during the Void Century however. But it just means that while Joyboy is a fictional character, the person who left behind the apology poneglyph was in fact the first user of the fruit who became the superhero incarnate (10/25) https://t.c

Think about it, what does the name "Joyboy" even mean? Is it a title or an epithet? No, it's a superhero nickname. Just like "Superboy", or "Astroboy". The title "Warrior of Liberation" is even the same as another comic superhero, "Sora Warrior of the Sea" (9/25) https://t.co/gBX

I think we've always made a grave assumption regarding Joyboy/Nika, because as Luffy's fruit says, it's a Mythical Type Zoan. Which means that Nika was a Mythical Figure, or in other words, a Fictional Character. "Joyboy" is not a real person... he's a fictional superhero (8/25)

When transformed in Gear 5th, Luffy directly quotes different lines from Binks's Sake, laughs just like in the song's chorus, and even the rhythm of the song is similar to that of the Drums of Liberation in Japanese. But why? What is the connection? (7/25) https://t.co/YqB4gGljSL
64.6K views · 445 likes · 9 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
And this is where it all comes together, because Binks's Sake is connected to the One Piece, the One Piece is connected to Joyboy, and Joyboy... is connected to Binks's Sake. When you think about it, Joyboy, which we see in Gear 5th, is the personification of Binks's Sake (6/25)

However some people took that very literally as the treasure itself being like a bottle of sake, but I see the sake as something more complementary, maybe even symbolic. I think the actual treasure is Binks's Sake, but not the song, rather something in another format (5/25) https

I already spoke about this in deep length in the past, but that's not what I want to focus on here. I believe there is more to this, that Binks's Sake is more than just a song. After all, songs are immaterial, so what is the physical treasure that is found at Laugh Tale? (3/25) h
