Do you take 12% of all rewards prior to today? So for example, if I’ve been staking for 1 year and earned 10000 HBAR, you will take 12% of the 10000 hbar or will you only take 12% from today onwards?

@staderlabs 34.7% staked and ~2.5% base is the consensus rate. Separate on LSTs like $ETHx: secondary can still trade off on-chain redemption value into ETH. Buy under NAV, redeem over the window (up to ~10d). Different signal from the 2.5%.

What separates them is what the position can still do while it's staked.
Locked in a validator it earns and sits still. Held as a liquid token it earns and stays usable, as collateral, in DeFi, or on its way back out.
88,140 ETH sits with us on exactly that basis.

That rate is roughly the same wherever the ETH sits.
A fund, a treasury, an exchange, someone staking from a laptop. Same protocol, same block rewards, same base rate.
