1974年慶応義塾大学経済学部卒業後野村證券入社。1978年英国ケンブリッジ大学経済学部卒業。野村證券NY拠点勤務後、英国ワッサースタインペレラ社常務取締役、野村企業情報取締役、野村證券事業法人三部長を経て、1995年ソフトバンク入社、常務取締役就任。現在SBIホールディングス株式会社代表取締役会長兼社長。
