I am very happy to see this wide ranging review from Jacobin. The review does a good job of summarizing my arguments, and its criticisms are serious and thoughtful. This is the kind of engagement I was hoping for. Thank you.

Economist Daron Acemoglu wants liberal democracy to connect with working people’s material interests and political power.
His case for institutional renewal should be taken seriously, but it needs a fuller account of class, war, and worker organization. https://t.co/Gr9qEL4UFN

@DAcemogluMIT So basically, people who got where they are not by working their way up, but with business degrees from some bullshit universities, have no idea what workers go through and just keep cracking the whip.

@DAcemogluMIT I do appreciate the work in formalising this kind of stuff, but seriously guys - economics is a joke if we are only just starting to establish simple stuff like this. People have been saying these things for more than half a century now. Economics needs pluralism an

Dear followers,
I’m delighted to share this article which is finally forthcoming. We show that business school education is associated with managers paying lower wages, holding the labor share down and not sharing, revenues and profits with workers.

@DAcemogluMIT Like many others, I've greatly learned from your work. I will find out who wrote that Economist article. If they wear men's clothing, I will point out the small, inconsequential ways they are not adhering to 1950s standards to avenge your honor.

@DAcemogluMIT The Economist cited Larry Summers’ critique of Acemoglu’s research. Larry Summers, an associate of Jeffrey Epstein, who once wrote in The Economist that "the logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest-wage country is impeccable." They could have chosen

I am not happy about the Economist’s article, which feels like a hit piece. There is also a background to it, which is more troubling (as I will share at some point). I asked them to allow me to respond. I am waiting for their answer. If not in the magazine, I will share my
