@IrishTimesOpEd There was no sectarian undercurrent. There was a legitimate exposing of her deep connections to the sectarian, anti Irish, pro partition Orange Order. That, and her intolerable drollness are what ruined her chances. All self inflicted.

@IrishTimesOpEd She has been elected as a TD 3 times. Served as minister for the Gaeltacht. Never once has her religion been an issue and it never will be. The "sectarian undercurrent" is overblown by those with an agenda.
