MakersPlace would not have been the same without @aishacarmen555.
A true OG. A legend of the space and one of the kindness and most passionate champion of the arts (and an artist herself).
Thank you Aisha, for everything. 🔳🤍🖤

@MakersPlace You guys were the first ones to ever reach out to me when I had no clue about blockchain or NFTs at all. As early as 2019. Showing how deeply you guys tried to push the digital art space forward.
Thank you for doing that.

We've worked closely with @pinatacloud, @opensea, @rarible, and others to ensure that legacy MakersPlace NFTs will live on without us.

7/ We still believe in the future of digital art.
Its moment isn’t over, it’s just evolving. And we’ll be cheering from the sidelines as the next chapter unfolds.
Until then, farewell from the MakersPlace team. https://t.co/nrKPjKUcDs

While we’re winding down operations, all NFTs minted through MakersPlace contracts are safe and permanent.
Your art lives on-chain, just as we always promised.

We were here before the boom, when NFTs were just an idea and digital art didn’t have a marketplace.
In 2020–2021, the world caught up. Artists flourished, collectors showed up, and a new movement took shape.
We helped build that.

After 7 incredible years, the time has come for us to say goodbye.
MakersPlace was born in 2018 with a bold idea: empower digital artists and help them thrive in a new, decentralized world.
It’s been a wild, beautiful ride. 🧵 https://t.co/Hq0RponXGG

This is not going to happen. More news to come soon, but we are working with multiple parties to not only ensure that our metadata is hosted after we close, but NFTs in MP custodial storage will still be retrievable after our site goes dark.
Stay tuned for more news on this.
