*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PWCPD is asking for the public's help identifying the driver sought in connection to a fatal hit & run crash that occurred on Sept. 3 at approx. 9:42pm in the 14500 block of Richmond Hwy in Woodbridge. Anyone with info is asked to contact police. More; htt
On September 3 at 9:42PM, officers responded to the 14500 block of Richmond Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a crash involving two pedestrians. The investigation revealed the victims, a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were walking through a parking lot in the above area when they were both struck by a dark-colored pick-up truck. The striking vehicle left the scene and was not located. Both pedestrians were transported to an area hospital with injuries sustained from the crash. The female victim, who was in her third trimester of pregnancy, underwent an emergency procedure which resulted in her child being delivered. The child subsequently died several hours later from injuries suspected to have resulted from the crash. Both adults are expected to recover from their injuries. Crash investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact police.
