So far it wasn't *that obvious*, rumors and footprints were pointing to Mauritania, earlier this year, Libya, where FLA, JNIM and Islamic State posess very strong cells and front companies. Some reporting also mentioned Tuaregs in some limited capacity appearing in Ukraine. https
