We've never cared about seeing the world. Togo,Benin are right next door at a cost less than a weekend of drinks & fish yet we don't go. And I don't think travelling is necessary for people to ask/ want more from government. Vacation is just not our thing.

We will happily spend what it takes to have a holiday on a remembrance party for our grandparents who died 50 years ago.Those conversations are not had in offices in the UK. You can live abroad & not think your life/experience is a constant lesson to Nigerians in Nigeria.

Some of the difference is also cultural.We prefer to save to buy/build homes,pay for education,cars & invest in property. We pay in full! There are people who haven't left Nigeria but own several lands/property.Always filtering Nigerian lives from a western lens is misleading.
