He also abandoned APGA,PDP,LP, ADC Atiku, Datti & according to TL chatter, Serah. He aligned & even defended Malami & Pantami when he thought it might advance his ambition to be President. If those who abandoned him are said to have no honour, does that apply to him too? 26K views · 428 likes · 182 reposts · 16 replies Open on X →
We've never cared about seeing the world. Togo,Benin are right next door at a cost less than a weekend of drinks & fish yet we don't go. And I don't think travelling is necessary for people to ask/ want more from government. Vacation is just not our thing. 15.2K views · 111 likes · 33 reposts · 11 replies Open on X →
That's hardly a uniquely Nigerian problem. The middle class in UK has gradually shrunk too with disposable income squeezed by increasing housing, food, transport & energy costs. Nigerians in Nigeria have their own ways of enjoying their lives. They are not objects of anyone's pity 11.5K views · 143 likes · 59 reposts · 9 replies Open on X →
Nigerians scare me. Every supposed core Peter Obi supporter in 2023 who have now abandoned him or pretending to be on the fence today would have remained solidly with him had he become the President. A people without honour. 54.1K views · 769 likes · 296 reposts · 38 replies Open on X →

Brilliant context you’re contributing to the discourse, yet Toyyib’s point stands - Pay in Nigeria is horrible. Even Gen-Z Nigerians who haven’t imbibed the Nigerian culture of spending, cannot adapt the Western lifestyle they aspire to even by traveling across state lines often 6.2K views · 0 likes · 1 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
This is also a huge part of our problem. Always buying things and not making out time to rest/see the world The people can’t ask for better from the government because they have not gone beyond Onitsha . We just live life from the pages of history books and then people die at 55 19.3K views · 12 likes · 1 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →
@biolakazeem "A hardworking Nigerian deserves that too. A salary should do more than keep a family alive." More importantly these holidays are mostly paid for by debts. Anything just to justify a western perspective. 5.8K views · 21 likes · 5 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
We will happily spend what it takes to have a holiday on a remembrance party for our grandparents who died 50 years ago. Those conversations are not had in offices in the UK. You can live abroad & not think your life/experience is a constant lesson to Nigerians in Nigeria. 6.7K views · 147 likes · 38 reposts · 7 replies Open on X →
Some of the difference is also cultural. We prefer to save to buy/build homes, pay for education, cars & invest in property. We pay in full! There are people who haven't left Nigeria but own several lands/property.Always filtering Nigerian lives from a western lens is misleading. 60.6K views · 516 likes · 196 reposts · 34 replies Open on X →
