Today, 11th September, is the feast day of St Deiniol to whom the handsome Georgian church at Worthenbury is dedicated.
Last year we were able to repair St Deiniol, Worthenbury thanks to the support of our members and donors.

In the fields surroundings St Helen’s church, the earthworks of the medieval village of Biscathorpe are still visible.
The land still bears the ridge and furrow marks of medieval ploughing and six house sites with crofts are visible at edge of flood plain.

Biscathorpe village disappeared at some point around 16th century. In the 20th century, the parish merged with Gayton le Wold.
Today, Biscathorpe is a tiny rural hamlet of only a few buildings and, therefore, the church has been closed for some time.
