In a time when the media business convulsed, contracted and changed, Rick Edmonds’ expertise was constant. His work helped make things make sense. He was 78. https://t.co/oNtOiTGr1v

I'm so excited that @Poynter gets to work with @internetarchive and @IRE_NICAR to help journalists and newsrooms preserve their work through the latest round of @pressforward funding! https://t.co/EymWVlKKSL

As Hurricane Milton passed over FLA, I toggled between local and national news. Local, as always, had what we needed most. @paullagrone was one of the voices that got my family through the night. And @rayroa helped me reconnect with hope in the days after. https://t.co/YO2SPWxczF

@amandaripley @HeleneBiandudi @smlomax @hwise29 I'm also super excited about the places our fellows are working. They include 29 newspapers, 20 non-profits, 5 public radio stations, 6 national pubs, representing 27 states.

@AvQueenBenet @omarg Is it weird to quote yourself? OK well, here's the gist: "We can’t fix all the issues facing local news. We can prepare journalists for how to face it and thrive.”

I'm SO excited of the new class of Poynter-Koch fellows. @AvQueenBenet, @omarg and I have a big year planned, with 3 in-person events, weekly trainings, mentors, advisors and projects our fellows will work on to improve their coverage, their communities or our industry.

I've spent the last 2 1/2 years experimenting with the idea that there's a digital audience for reported obituaries about regular people. There is. I made a ton of mistakes in figuring that out. But there is. https://t.co/GzOnOflBTc
