Your brain can only fear what it pays attention to. Worry survives on being replayed. The reason busy people worry less isn't that they have fewer problems. It's that a mind fully occupied has no spare room to keep the fear alive. 25.9K views · 845 likes · 76 reposts · 31 replies Open on X →

Your working memory can hold only about 4 things at once. Yet most people carry 20 unfinished worries into every hour. That overload is the scattered, tired feeling you can't explain. 19.1K views · 476 likes · 31 reposts · 36 replies Open on X →

You love progress markers because they feel like movement. Checking views, weight, money, or messages can become a substitute for doing the thing that would move the number. Measurement can slowly become procrastination. 15.9K views · 298 likes · 20 reposts · 22 replies Open on X →

The world is becoming harsher for people who need motivation to begin. Tools are easier, information is cheaper, competition is faster, and the only serious separator left is execution. 37K views · 1.9K likes · 173 reposts · 59 replies Open on X →

When you constantly scan a room for signs of disapproval, your brain learns to treat neutral expressions as negative ones. Over time, your mind manufactures social rejection even where none exists. 16.8K views · 435 likes · 23 reposts · 25 replies Open on X →

The brain builds confidence through prediction. When you repeatedly do what you said you would do, your mind starts predicting follow-through from you. Confidence is your brain trusting your pattern. 22.4K views · 1.1K likes · 117 reposts · 52 replies Open on X →

Every time you start something and quit halfway, your brain logs it as evidence that you don't finish. Do it enough, and starting itself begins to feel pointless. You've slowly taught your mind that your beginnings don't lead anywhere. 22.4K views · 902 likes · 62 reposts · 51 replies Open on X →

Every time you check your phone during a hard task, your brain marks that task as the thing worth escaping. Do it enough, and the work itself starts to feel like discomfort before you've even begun. 23.3K views · 1.1K likes · 95 reposts · 44 replies Open on X →

@rajshamani Sounds like action may not solve the whole problem, but it can give your mind somewhere productive to go besides around in circles. 1.6K views · 15 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

Your brain lowers the stress chemicals the moment you take action, but doubles them when you sit still and think about the problem. The fastest cure for feeling overwhelmed is taking action. 116.8K views · 8.2K likes · 1.1K reposts · 101 replies Open on X →

The first time you double-check your work out of self-doubt, it feels careful. The fiftieth time, your brain has built a ritual that guarantees you will never trust your own execution. 21.7K views · 438 likes · 14 reposts · 30 replies Open on X →

@rajshamani Doom scrolling is a tough habit to break, but one thing that helped was putting restrictions on my phone with screen time. 253 views · 4 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

@rajshamani Most people think boredom means nothing interesting is happening around them, when really it’s their baseline for stimulation that’s shifted, not the environment itself. 69 views · 3 likes · 1 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

@rajshamani Endless scrolling makes ordinary life feel boring, when ordinary life was never the problem. 31 views · 2 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

The more you scroll to feel something, the higher your brain sets the bar for what counts as interesting. Real life starts feeling flat because you trained your threshold too high. Boredom is the result of overstimulation. 27.9K views · 818 likes · 56 reposts · 39 replies Open on X →
