Has anyone had a chance to peruse the 2027 Medicare benefits booklet?!
It’s a disaster.
Aetna PPO AND Anthem PPO ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN SoCal.
Humana and AARP(United Healthcare) are the only options for ALL of SoCal PPO.
The entire booklet is HMO.
AARP sounds promising

MASSIVE KELVIN WAVE CLOSES IN ON CALIFORNIA
A massive Kelvin wave is traveling north at only about 6 mph, carrying unusually warm water and elevated sea levels toward California.
This isn’t a tsunami or a giant breaking wave. It’s a huge pulse moving through the ocean that http

I did this thread 3 years ago for Pride month. I inadvertently deleted the thread and I have miraculously been given it back. So, here is my thread back in it’s original form (whether you wanted it or not) 🤣

I think about how beautiful his kids must be, now adults. How gratifying his life must have become.
What I know for sure.

I will always love Rick as my one true love. I feel certain that I was unable to completely give myself to anyone else because of him. I think about him every single day. I think about what it might have been like if we grew up now. That we could have done BOTH.

Year at the Academy. I knew of a young woman that he had been dating. I knew how much went into his life to date. I knew in my heart we would never be. I swear to this day I pray he’s happy and a grandad by gloating grandad.

Met but I could smell HIM. I’ll never forget it ever. I knew that his discipline in life would never allow him to be with me. Mine wouldn’t have either at that point. We were destined to meet a wonderful woman and gave beautiful kids. Was right before his last

I visited him many times at the Academy. I could only really see him from afar. He always found a way to break and run over to me giving me the biggest hug of my life. I remember his physical presence and how fucking incredible he smelled. The cleanest man I ever

His dad was an Air Force officer and all. Everything Rick did during his young life was with the aim for acceptance to the AFA. I knew this and knew that I would eventually lose him to service to our country.

I got to know Rick as a good friend throughout our high school years. He was/is a year older than me so by my junior year things started shifting to being focused on our life goals. He had them for sure. His sights were set on the Air Force Academy. Made sense,

He was quiet yet masculine, polite to the end. He was raised by a military dad and it was obvious. In a good way. We gravitated to each other invariably throughout that day. I felt something I had NEVER felt before. I was nervous as I could be.

I watched as these new additions walked toward us on the beach. Everyone was telling me their names as they approached. I saw a guy, blond beautiful hair that he kept flipping. He was EVERYTHING one one second flat. It was scary too because I was just coming to

One rather ordinary beautiful beach day when I was 14 we were all meeting for our daily beach and body surfing 🏄♀️. My friends had invited some of their friends from Fountain Valley (our rival high school) to join us.

A world class athlete breaking the world record at 12 for the Half Mile. Another story, another time. My point, we were all so busy and disciplined. All summer long though, we were ne in the beaches of Huntington Beach.

Everyone I hung out with were swimmers/divers. They all participated in school aquatics and also belonged to an AAU swim team in Mission Viejo called the Nadadores. So, we were linked by geography not interests. I was a runner and so was my sister. She became

I grew up in Dallas and my family relocated to Huntington Beach California when I was 12. We lived one block from the beach. All the kids in my neighborhood that I hung out with were primarily kids of Air Force dads. Huntington Beach was , after all, the Irvine of the seventies.
