@DavidPuente @Open_gol @maldita @Newtral Todo correcto.

@DavidPuente Excellent verification work. Your thread established as early as July 31 that the truck had been intercepted by Morocco’s Royal Gendarmerie, far from Ceuta.
The fact that this same image later appeared in a police report as possible evidence against the Moroccan aut

1/ A video circulating online shows a moroccan security forces officer throwing a rock at a migrant returning to Morocco after crossing the Spanish border enclave of Ceuta. Several Moroccan websites and other media outlets say they have been unable to geolocate where the video ht

7/ While looking for local sources from the Tétouan area, I found further confirmation on the Tetouan Press Facebook page, which shared a video from the same scene with the caption: "Entrance to the city of Tetouan".

6/ This point is approximately 11 hours on foot or about 1h15 by car from Ceuta. This is not the border. The truck was intercepted well before reaching its destination, consistent with a Gendarmerie Royale checkpoint on the N2, the main road between Tanger and Tétouan. https://t.

5/ Eventually, on the road heading toward Tétouan, I found a photo matching the same elements as the video: road signs, guardrail, and surrounding landscape.

4/ My only option was Mapillary. I went through a large number of roads in the area, comparing the road layout, guardrail type, and hill profile with what's visible in the video. It took a while. https://t.co/gyMl6SqGuk

3/ From Tanger-Asilah prefecture, several roads lead toward Ceuta. To identify the right one, I had to rely on the landscape visible in the video, but Google Street View has no coverage of this area. https://t.co/B4wsFDrVgr

In Morocco's system, code 40 = Tanger-Asilah prefecture. https://t.co/FJl2X3Day3
