For the weekend, drier and more comfortable air trying to push southward, though southern ridge fights back...so the boundary only gets pushed into the southern Mid-Atlantic. Since it's close, DC fights some clouds Saturday, and southern zones could still pick up a few storms. ht

While northern Maryland gets a break from all the action they had last night...DC, southern Maryland, and much of Virginia is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9pm. We are NOT expecting a repeat of last night though, and once this round wraps up, expecting a quieter night.
