It's a year when all the dots start connecting furiously. Then you arrive in University, and the work is familiar, less daunting.

1) Many students were to immature for moving out of home and into post secondary environments
2) Far to many students were unprepared for post secondary without that added year of knowledge base.
3) Universities and Colleges had to adjust to teach

Food for thought:
Getting rid of Grade 13 in Ontario was a huge mistake.
It hasn't done anything good for the students. Neither for parents.
If anything it created more social problems and limited opps for students.
Another BIG Conservative policy failure.
