Since dad has passed, Snickers has not settled into a new routine
In the evenings he would grab momma’s arm and drag his blanket over to be wrapped up
Usually he would be wrapped up into his blanket on dads lap, or in his arms
The change to being wrapped alone was not missed h

Snickers patiently waited for the whole event to be over and head outside with his buddy
Dad and his buddy would head out and meander as long and as far as both could endure the Florida heat, sun or humidity
Or the precious cop that lived a street over and would kindly guide h

Snickers was only 7 years old
We kids gifted him to our parents because their longtime dog Wuerful was aged (14) and we knew the puppy would help soften the blow, a little
The old man did not appreciate the whippersnapper coming along disturbing his peace
They adjusted https:

In less than a week it was clear he wouldn’t survive the 3 more days to say goodbye to my momma

Fast forward to last fall when they came to my new house in Tennessee and Snickers had a lump on his nose
He never bothered it, unless he was left alone
When left alone he would scrub his nose on the doorway, the jamb and bottom of the door edge

My dad has changed his address to Streets of Gold.
I am blessed to have been raised by a God-fearing, easy-forgiving, man who loved only 1 woman his whole life.
Really appreciative your prayers as we gather to honor his life. He was larger than life itself. https://t.co/Fqh7k
