Faye Dunaway and Mickey Rourke on the set of Barfly with Charles Bukowski, the American writer and poet best known for turning poverty, chaos, booze and loneliness from the gritty, un-sobering realities of everyday life into darkly funny, unapologetic literature . . . https://t.c

@historyinmemes Dennis Hopper’s Barfly, written by Charles Bukowski with Mickey Rourke as a character loosely based on Bukowski himself . . . exploring his life of drinking, poverty, bad decisions, love/life on the fringes offering a rare front-row glimpse into his world. https:/

Ken Kesey’s novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and the film directed by Miloš Forman is pretty much a true adaptation . . . but there are a few minor differences, as the book is told through Chief’s eyes and some of the characters are not in the film 📖 https://t.co/QOHysVaWjy

I’ve found Matthew Modine incredibly compelling and believable, bringing genuine conviction to every role . . . Whether in Gross Anatomy, The Dark Knight Rises or this scene from And the Band Played On, he makes you believe his character wholeheartedly believes what he’s saying.

Damien Chazelle’s Babylon was a 3 hour indulgently extravagant wild look at Hollywood’s transition from silent films to talkies in the 1920s with Brad Pitt & Margot Robbie . . . I loved some parts like this scene, but others I felt were a bit over the top https://t.co/PFvIDr7EED

One of the things I love about Mad Men is that the seemingly inconsequential moments before the big scenes often carry just as much character & weight as the headline moments themselves . . . all delivered with a style that's unmistakably its own.

@MatthewModine Tangent of a post but before I ever watched Vision Quest, I caught Vincent D'Onofrio and yourself as Joker doing your John Wayne impression in Full Metal Jacket . . . Both films ended up being permanently tattooed onto my young teenage psyche. https://t.co/BmbwQLIq

@goodreads Nurse Ratched from Ken Kesey novel One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest . . .
Reading a well written novel and afterwards watching the film adaptation with historic actors comparing what I imagined visually with the director’s perspective and the great actor’s performance

@ilovenostalgia Crazy Stupid Love with Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone and the Bar Pickup Scene with “you're really wearing that dress like you're doing it a favor” . . . btw never use this line unless you are trying to make fun of people who actually use this line.

@Nostalgia150360 @RealEmirHan Yes, her style her fashion was very iconic. I think Megan was a character that reflected the new era of Mad Men.

@Nostalgia150360 @RealEmirHan The amazing thing about Mad Men is that it had so many unforgettable scenes that this one just barely breaks into the Top Ten. And this scene is absolutely BRILLIANT.

@RealEmirHan The addition of Jessica Paré in Mad Men playing Megan I thought elevated the show and brought stability back to Don Draper’s character . . . and those moments like her singing Zou Bisou Bisou were extremely perfect.
