For the 13th time in the VIX data era, VIX is under 15 on Labor Day.
And while you chimpanzees are convinced that's automatically bad news, here are the 6mo and 12mo forward returns. Also, worst draw downs over the next 85 trading days (roughly to year end). https://t.co/IDi4672

SPX is about to go in to Labor Day Weekend with a YTD return of at least +12.5%
This will be the 24th time in history it will have done that.
It has never been up this much on Labor Day and not finished the year positive overall (Jan-Dec).

SPX opened at the daily low yesterday, then opened at the daily high today.
That's only happened to end a week 7 times now in the past 15 years.

I'm sorry, did I just say 2007?
Oh yes, I suppose I did.
I also said 2003 and 2010.

You won't fucking believe this but...
If QQQ is positive today, it will be only the fourth time in the ETF's history that it will have been positive the Wednesday, Thursday, AND Friday before Labor Day Weekend.
The other years? 2003, 2007, and 2010.

Denise, you earned this. Enjoy this award and the knowledge that every time anyone in the FinTwit community see someone else with the fortitude to stand up to common decency and completely accepted social norms, we will invoke your name publicly. Your legacy is finally cemented.

I’m proud of you. And the suits at HQ are proud of you. Sure, they don’t know anything about you and not one of them will attend your funeral or remember you once you’re gone, but you did the right thing in my book. I wish all my employees blindly kissed my ass, no matter how

Thank you for stepping up and getting Ryan’s X account suspended last night. Sure, you could have just had the image deleted, or been a normal fucking human being by asking him to delete the tweet from 5 months ago that no one was even looking at anymore, but you had the courage

Without people like you, people like Ryan could simply use social media in a way that is widely accepted by people who still inhabit Earth One and don’t live so far up their own corporate asses that they can’t fucking remember what it feels like to experience free will or be

Bravo and congratulations, Denise. Your actions, not only in protecting a major corporation from due embarrassment in a case so outrageous that Morgan Stanley saw fit to settle outside of court years ago, but for finally having the nerve to go after the real criminals of X:

A woman so brave, so honest, so fair, that I have decided to name the first official OddStats award, the Denise McCool Award for Corporate Bravery, after her.

This is why, today, I want to point out the bravery of one woman. A woman who spent years at a major university and could have gone on to do anything with her JD, but she chose to make it her life’s work to defend the honor of an enormous corporation that couldn’t care less if

A woman who *allegedly* blocked the promotion of an actual human being for having the audacity to internally complain about xenophobic activity within the company, *allegedly* ruining multiple lives in the process, all for a pat on the head.

You should know that the answer to that question is, unequivocally “yes.”
Do we want to live in a world where popular, professional, public facing business owners feel safe sharing social media friendly data in an open and honest way? Of course not.

Like you, I was disgusted in April when Ryan brazenly retweeted a chart from @MorganStanley, with full credit, in a way that was clearly supportive and friendly.
I was sickened by his lack of greed and disturbed to learn something that was already being shared widely on X.

And while you might think to yourself, “wow, that’s incredibly small and petty for the 5th largest bank on the entire planet,” or possibly even asking, “is the best use of human resources at a company this size to harass and annoy a small business owner who did literally nothing

MAJOR AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT: Before we get into this tweet thread, you should know that I am a pro-business entrepreneur. I took a year off of college at 19 to start my first real business. I retired at the age of 35 after selling my last.
I am not anti-corporation.
