@itsbookgains I love physical books as I enjoy annotating them with my thoughts and literally commune with as I read each one. The characters seem more tangible. 51 views · 2 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
@itsbookgains Brain research shows you retain information better when you read physical books. We are embodied and need to interact with things in time and space. I switched away from ebooks back to physical books years ago. 77 views · 4 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

@itsbookgains Yes. It’s a different conversation. With a physical book you go back and forth with the body. You mark to reinforce or remember. A later thought points you to a page. That’s not the same as scrolling a file. I choose the physical one. 184 views · 3 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
Does anyone else still prefer reading physical books over ebooks or audiobooks? 9.9K views · 159 likes · 5 reposts · 47 replies Open on X →

@itsbookgains It's not about the reading, it's about finding actual reward/dopamine. Learning, being creative, chasing goals, these are the backbone of true happiness, not distractions. Use the right habits to eliminate those distractions. 6K views · 71 likes · 5 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
Reading for 3 hours a day completely rearranges your nervous system. You stop feeling the urge to scroll. Your thinking becomes slower, calmer, and deeper. I experienced this today. 716.3K views · 17.5K likes · 1.4K reposts · 101 replies Open on X →
