Another pleasant surprise has been Italian Serie A. 3rd best "domestic" (including VTB/Adriatic though) behind Spain and Turkey this decade. Lack the top end talent but very consistent throughout. I dont watch it as much but to my memory - less teams right? Prob doesn't hurt 407 views · 1 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

Putin's blatant disregard toward the sport that I love has been disappointing, so I have been a pretty heavy critic of the recent season of VTB. That said, upon running a more detailed model to compare leagues that lack teams playing within both, I was pleasantly surprised. 687 views · 3 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

One of the most uncompromisingly reliable rules of player projection: As age decreases, the projection target moves along a spectrum—from identifying an exact outcome toward identifying the approximate shape of the distribution of possible outcomes. 659 views · 11 likes · 1 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

Also for pre draft all players since 2014 draft have extensive pre drsft data as prior. Public data will start in 2019 but since 2015 i will track over 20 diff leagues around the world. Elite players outside "Core4 leagues" will also be part of what is published https://t.co/F4ia

Please support my Patreon! I know I haven’t put out as much lately, but the GRBNU beta is coming there soon: a full player-rating system inspired by DARKO/EPM/xRAPM, with NBA, EuroLeague, EuroCup & G League ratings and priors from leagues around the world. 2.5K views · 15 likes · 4 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
