i wont name which industries because i have sources in all sectors and "i love all my children equally"... but there are already some entire categories of white collar work in which it's considered offensive to work on Friday's after 11am so: why not just formalize 4 all-in days? 633 views · 8 likes · 0 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

"thing is we wouldn't even be having this conversation if this war weren't going on, if oil weren't where it is. this isn't a deficit concern or anything like that - this is really mostly related to oil. there is a .7 correlation between oil and yields right now"--Abby Yoder, JPM 4.9K views · 13 likes · 4 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

great chart by Matt. this is a biggie. you can afford to let services prices run sorta hot (and hope some of that heat gets transferred to real wages) especially when goods disinflation is in full force, as it was in the 2010s but that trend in goods is so over what do we do😭 ht 6.1K views · 27 likes · 4 reposts · 5 replies Open on X →

if GasBuddyGuy was ever staidly rebranded to, like, DeHaan Energy Analytics, i feel like he'd get way more of the recognition he deserves.... he's often forecasting and calling these trends weeks or even months in advance of his posting the graphic of a given predicted outcome: 3.1K views · 26 likes · 1 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

@talmonsmith Hard disagree at this point, especially $NYT, whose human staff has personally done me great harm for many years, and never made it right. 153 views · 2 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

becoming a beat reporter amid a crisis meant putting book stuff on hold for a bit. and i'll still be on my beat for NYT! but i'll be on the road more than ever too. and the reporting's not done so let's get after it: suspects usual & unusual, point me to stories you're seeing too 1.1K views · 16 likes · 0 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →
