If it were in the western Pacific then yes, it would be a typhoon. Eastern Pacific is still hurricane. 27.5K views · 48 likes · 3 reposts · 10 replies Open on X →
@Ginger_Zee why is it not a Typhoon if it’s on the Mexican west side? I thought everything over there was a typhoon. 27.9K views · 1 likes · 1 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
Watching this coastal low developing - 12.1K views · 64 likes · 3 reposts · 8 replies Open on X →
Heads up! A strong coastal low pressure system is forecast to develop midweek and produce significant coastal flooding, strong rip currents, beach erosion, as well as strong wind gusts and heavy rain. See the latest Key Messages for more information. https://t.co/s2gyDKeDQk
Strong Coastal Low Will Develop Midweek
A non-tropical low pressure system is expected to develop well offshore of the Mid-Atlantic coast Wednesday, then intensify as it gradually lifts toward the southern New England coast this weekend. This strengthening storm may bring significant impacts to much of the U.S. East Coast.

Significant Coastal Flooding
The combination of persistent, strong onshore winds, high surf, and high astronomical tides will likely result in significant coastal flooding impacts, especially Wednesday through Friday. Coastal residents are urged to heed their local National Weather Service forecasts and warnings and always follow guidance from local officials.

Strong Rip Currents & Beach Erosion from High Surf
High surf is expected on many Mid-Atlantic beaches during the mid-latter part of this week, which will generate strong rip currents and potentially lead to some beach erosion.

Remarkably hot and dry in Texas and parts of the south. Dallas/Ft Worth has had 13 days at or above 100° which smashes the old record. It’s also been very dry, they’ve had 61 days straight without measurable precipitation, which puts them at the third longest stretch on record. h

My sister has lived on Kauai for the last 5 years — made sure she had a safe spot to stay as hurricane #Lowell passes west of the island. We have @KaynaWhitworth there to cover — I am on my way to a story so won’t be on @GMA - stay safe all! 21.7K views · 250 likes · 3 reposts · 12 replies Open on X →

Those people are correct. The earth goes in cycles and we are naturally warming at this time... but science shows us that our emissions have amplified the warming making it faster than nature would have. Adaptation is tougher for coral for example that can't move to cooler water 553.8K views · 698 likes · 465 reposts · 293 replies Open on X →
