Phil was the first coach to tell me he knew I would pitch in the big leagues. In a moment I wasn’t sure I believed it myself. An amazing coach, but an even better person and I am forever thankful for his confidence in me. A true 1 of 1.
RIP to The Vulture

Longtime pitching coach Phil Regan, whose career in baseball spanned seven decades, died today, his attorney, Matt Blit, told ESPN. Regan was 89.
He managed the Baltimore Orioles for one year and served as pitching coach with the Mariners, Cubs, Indians and Mets, among others.

@ItsPaulSewald @C70 @Cardinals My man, you’re making 1.5 mil this year, a normal job isn’t going to accommodate you either….coming from somebody that works the 9-5. Be grateful you have an opportunity to continue playing a game that pays you to have off 5 months a year.

@ItsPaulSewald @Cardinals Great move Cardinals. The Diamondbacks are near us in the wild card standings, so by giving them a 4 city road trip in the future, this could tire them out and hopefully make them lose a couple more games. A smart move by a smart organization. Glad to be

No you’re right thank you @Cardinals for not moving our game up to this afternoon when we politely asked given the whole world knew it was going to rain tonight. I actually was really hoping we could lose an off day and turn it into a 4 city road trip 👍🏻

Brian was one of the reasons I chose @USDbaseball Good HS pitcher turned National Pitcher of the Year. Short list of best to wear a Torero uniform. His last start in the Long Beach regional is still one of the most dominant pitching performances I’ve ever seen. RIP Brian
