More from Jensen:
Coxon claims not based on science & demonstrably untrue;
America we have to run - slowing is definitely the wrong strategy;
We are already at super intelligence;
The labs are incredible - we just need to urge them on but tone down the drama;

@altcap Altmans own argument now is that they may need to make decisions that aren’t in shareholders’ immediate financial interest.
SpaceX will be a good proxy to test this over coming weeks/months

@altcap Brad, usually love your takes, but that is bullshit.
Did SpaceX publicly state their flagship product has a >10% chance of killing all humans in the next 3 years?
An existing Anthropic executive/manager made that statement last week, during the quiet period.
If you are

Disagree. Anthropic will IPO. The market knows how to price risk - see SpaceX. There is huge appetite to invest in the AI leaders. And its beneficial / critical that we bring even more transparency, scrutiny, accountability, & participation to these grt American companies! 🇺🇸📈

This was the natural progression of this narrative
The more OAI and Anthropic argue that commercial pressure can push AI companies to move too fast, the harder it is for either to go public.
Public markets just add more of that pressure: growth expectations, quarterly

@altcap I don't think the future is predetermined & have a lot of hope for humanity's agency around coordination! We still have time to figure things out. I think things like Jacob's tweet make it more likely folks become alerted to the risks here. I want to raise concerns so th

@j_asminewang Hi Jasmine. How many of your OpenAI shares will you bet me that humans are not extinct in 2030? You can probability weight your wager. That will tell me everything I need to know. I am good for any amount you choose. I don’t mind pacing - I hate BS scare tactics

@altcap I'm one of the people working on safety at OpenAI, and I don't think Jacob's comments are ignorant/wrong/arrogant at all. A solid proportion of folks across labs have signed a petition saying we need to pace, many of them directly working on safety.

Jensen calls Jacob Coxon comments outlandish & “deeply untrue.” Said the labs are great, but his comments were wrong, arrogant, and ignorant of all the work being done around the industry to drive safety. 🧐🧐 https://t.co/S253cHKQy7

It's hard to overstate how dangerous speeding towards RSI is.
That's why I + 1385 others signed the pacing the frontier petition asking the US government to pace AI development. I'm guesstimating this is ~8-10% of all frontier lab employees.

@altcap correct
you can 10× the tokens and watch the revenue multiple go nowhere if a good-enough model in Hangzhou or a Grok is a tenth the cost. Enterprises buy work done, not Anthropic’s brand. The second the output is close enough, they route to cheap.

@altcap Love the expectations management!
Let me say this: I would not take the “under” on $250 billion *unless* they stumble or fail to secure enough compute.
Maybe you can discuss with @DarioAmodei at @TomorrowXSummit before I interview you about public policy!

Too aggressive re Anthropic. Base case of $250 B ‘27 exit run rate (same size as MSFT & Meta) seems wild but achievable. $450 B (size of Apple & Google) seems too aggressive given compute & regulatory constraints. Margins also likely lumpy as big compute comes online. 🧐📈
