Leaders can have frustrations with the press, but what they can’t do is censor them or bar them from access to the White House for ideological reasons, as the President has just done to CNN, MS NOW, and Politico. These actions by President Trump set a dangerous precedent. https:
The President doesn't get to choose what the press is allowed to say.

Latine communities are critical to the fabric of our nation and have led in resistance against abuses of power throughout history. This month, we celebrate our culture, our history, and our indelible place in the United States and Indiana. https://t.co/mR6DyEBsfM

This November, Public Question 1 would change Indiana’s Constitution and expand when courts can deny bail and jail someone before trial, before they have been convicted. Know what’s at stake before you vote: https://t.co/eOnfhmrvPE https://t.co/Cnk7NDSfE5
The End of the Presumption of Innocence In the upcoming midterm election, Hoosiers will decide whether to expand Indiana’s power to jail people before trial, and before they have been convicted of a crime.
What is Public Question 1? This proposed amendment to the Indiana Constitution would allow courts to deny bail in more cases, based on one judge’s ruling.

That means more people could be jailed until trial, even though they have not been convicted and are still presumed innocent.
What’s at stake? Someone denied bail could remain in jail for months before the government has proven its case.

That can cost people their jobs, homes, health care, and separate them from their families.

@ACLUIndiana They shouldn’t boast when there are tens of thousands more to remove. BTW: There are hundreds of jobs now available for SNAP recipients that need to work 80 hours a month and there is more housing available. 8 views · 0 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
ICE claims they arrested 426 people during an operation earlier this month. As they boast and brag about the cruelty they inflict on our state in an effort to meet their quotas, Hoosier communities suffer.
