This is a terrible situation. Dr Shihuwa Sishuwa should not be abandoned in any way. Thank you South Africa for coming to the rescue. Academics on the continent and outside of it must clearly condemn the Zambian government for its action. We stand by Dr Shihuwa Sishuwa.

1. I think @SaraHirschhorn1 has a point on the UK action against Israel. There is a level of virtue signalling. After all, it is unlikely to change the behaviour of either the settlers or the Netanyahu govt. But the challenge with this analysis is what is the alternative?
