@RealCJ10 His — and your —- batting average would absolutely drop in today’s game due to better pitching and defense. George can be right on fundamentals and wrong in how results would be.

I concur…..what ‘gurus’ don’t understand is that most drills that are done, are over exaggerations to hit happy mediums. If my hands start above my shoulders, they have to come down to get on plane with the pitch. Well done getting this young fella to get on plane and not dump

You can listen to Hall of Famer @RealCJ10 and work on hitting down through the ball to create backspin or you can listen to the #gurus whole teach the chicken wing and tilt technique.
I know who I would listen to!

Yeah his first move is to drop down underneath the pitch….that’s causing the shanks. Ur gonna need to over exaggerate a drill in order to hopefully hit the happy medium. Grab a tee, have him put the bat flat on his shoulder, have him turn his shoulders, keeping bat pinned to

@RealCJ10 having the hardest time getting my oldest to quit dropping his hands when the pitch is on its way. Any tips or drills? Thank you from a family of diehard Braves fans! https://t.co/lh1i4UVR5c

Well….I was gonna tell you to swing THROUGH the ball, based on ur cage swings. Then I see the HR swing and you swung through that one nicely. So I guess the only thing left for me to say young lady is…KEEP RAKING! Love the cage work….stay up the middle and to the off gap. Well

Good solid swing here! Young fell does a ton of stuff well. Good athletic address, nice base. Keeps his back knee bent all the way thru the swing, promoting good balance. Swings THRU the pitch, not TO the pitch. One suggestion….try to get him to load more into his back hip and
