I’ve spoken with heads of HSEMA & DDOT. An update: - 1,100+ reports of tree damage have come in. As we’re assessing the damage this morning, there are a lot of downed trees. DDOT will have dozens of teams out today working to clear but it will take time. Please call 311 to report a downed tree or blocked sidewalk/road. Please also add a little extra time for school & work. h

In just a quick walk around, a LOT of downed trees & damage. At 5th & F St NE, a giant tree came down, crushed a car, & blocks road and sidewalks. Another street tree is leaning precariously on a home. Talked with the neighbor & they’re ok for now. @DDOTDC crews going to be busy!
