The NBA begins its two-day Board of Governors meeting in New York today with multiple issues - including the Clippers, potential expansion & NBA Europe- that bring more public interest than usual to the often-internal group. Free to read, in @TheAthletic:

The Commanders made way too many mistakes Sunday to beat the Eagles on the road. But their new offense came to life in the fourth quarter. More importantly, Jayden Daniels finished a game for the first time in almost a year. Free to read, in @TheAthletic:

Sonny Styles was...impactful on that blitz and sack. Blew up Saquon in pass pro.

Was definitely rooting for D.C.'s Big Foe. But Ben outplayed him. Point blank. Great match and good luck to Ben in the finals!

PMers: The Commanders’ new offensive coordinator, David Blough, is changing not just the unit’s plays, but how it gets to them. His ability to teach it all is a huge key to whether Washington bounces back from an awful 2025. Free to read, in @TheAthletic:

Small staff. Big vision. @AU_MBasketball didn't wait for more resources — they built a system that made the most of what they had.
Now they're the model other programs are studying.🎯

Much of the NBA waited to see what Adam Silver would do if a probe into alleged cap circumvention by the Clippers bore fruit. A white-shoe law firm, on Wednesday, said the team broke the rules. Silver acted, decisively. Free to read, in @TheAthletic:

This is a really well-written piece on what I and others were feeling during the whole Jaylen Brown discourse. The narrative about on-off became the whole, or at least dominant, discussion point on his worth. Few said "hey, maybe they just don't want to pay him another $170M."

There were discussions during the negotiations between the Commanders and the city last year about a potential "in-fill" station at Oklahoma Avenue that would ease the burden on the single Metro stop, Stadium-Armory, near RFK. That made a lot of sense to me. Still does.

There's no plans for a second Metro station to be built near the new Commanders stadium in D.C.; Metro officials say it's to expensive. But some city leaders say that's a shortsighted decision that should be revisited by @Janeese4DC. By @zaraleinorman: https://t.co/PZ8chIu1dB htt

So this is now, officially, real. It is a labor of love for hoops, edited w/ @johnhollinger. The great @ShotDrJr did the thing, combing through each of the 100 essays from our incredible NBA staff at @TheAthletic. Pre-orders available now; drops 11/26. Humbly, it's a good read. h
