question for people deeply experienced in matters of the heart: how can you tell if you’re in a ‘love takes work’ situation versus a ‘this just isn’t right’ situation?

i think two seemingly contradictory pieces of relationship advice are both true:
1. love takes work. learn to appreciate what you have. we give up too easily
2. never settle. reach for the deepest connection you can find. we settle too easily
depending on temperament and

My stream of consciousness on this as a guy who went from 'I'm not attractive & it's not safe to ask women out' to being pretty comfortable asking women out:
I don't know exactly what formed my villain origin story. I was rejected by the fi

talking to guy friends about this, i’ve realised that some of the most respectful men i know are very hesitant to ask women out directly. they’re afraid of making someone uncomfortable and often have very few models for what good courtship actually looks like
i think there’s an

Friend was telling me eight guys have ‘sort of’ asked her out this year, but all eight have done so indirectly or under false pretenses. She won’t date a guy who’s “too afraid to say what he wants”. Sf

i feel like falling deeply in love can turn you into an evangelist. you’re like guys??? have you heard about this??? it’s incredible. Yes devastating, occasionally, but incredible
somehow despite several thousand years of songs, poems, novels and movies, i still feel true deep

truly few things i love more than an elegant metaphor, a red thread drawn suddenly between two ideas that seemed falsely unrelated, revealing they were connected all along. ah, so satisfying and beautiful

“if you are in love, that’s a good thing, that’s about the best thing that can happen to anyone.”
yes. that incomparable light and beauty, which so much of art and life seems to be an attempt to catch in its mirror

love bravely. create things. chase aliveness over avoiding pain. speak so you can be found. everything worth having requires courage. say your dreams

+1. i think people are often far too cautious in matters of the heart, mostly in the name of pain avoidance. we fear rejection and heartbreak so much that we forget to fear the greater loss, that is never loving, never saying it, never finding out what might have happened if we h

No one knows anything. Just do whatever you want. Think people are playing it way too safe and way too cool especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Always better to send the text make the call say the thing than to wish you did. Fuck it. Full send. Who cares. https://t.

there’s currently a lot of capital looking for ambitious, whimsical, interesting projects. the scarcer thing is often compelling ideas made legible, paired with people credible enough to pull them off
we need more bridges between weird creative people and capital. fundraising is

the work is basically: creating a container and mirror for the ideas already in you, finding the signal, then helping it become ht

@majamediaco This is such a fun and neat thing to be able to spectate on as an older person seeing the younger generation take on and build up their lives & careers. It’s a real shot in the arm v.s. to the more (stereo)typical discourse on here. Thank you & good luck in everyth
