Last point re wealth tax, is if a billionaire is illiquid, there seems to be a way to defer the tax and pay as they extract value out of those holdings e.g. distributions. I don't know what this new dumb thing is about a few VCs saying they don't want to invest in CA startups because of the wealth tax. The wealth tax doesn't apply to the companies or to VCs. While I don't support the wealth tax, we need to get our understanding right. Most seem to be making this into a much bigger deal than it is.
