@sciencecohen @SetteLab There is some evidence of persistently reduced serum CD8 T cells among those who survive critical illness and a small proportion of long COVID cases do show signs of T cell exhaustion but in general SARS-CoV-2 infection doesn’t seem to damage the immune system.
