Targeting nicotine vapes at children using colours, flavours and displays to addict them is shameful. Vapes can help adult smokers quit but marketing to children is unacceptable. A consultation on proposals to reduce the appeal of vapes to children is open https://t.co/aAFigAfQIV 36.5K views · 168 likes · 42 reposts · 58 replies Open on X →

Today, the UK CMOs have published updated physical activity guidelines. These reflect stronger evidence on the benefits of increasing activity for anyone, but especially for the least active. Even small amounts of activity can have big benefits for health. https://t.co/Qnphr6NZ0U 61.5K views · 214 likes · 79 reposts · 29 replies Open on X →

A red heat-health alert has been issued this week. Extreme heat can be dangerous for young children, elderly and vulnerable people. Rehydrating and cooling can be life saving. @CMO_England This is a seriously misleading post and you should not be providing this advice without an essential safety disclaimer. The graph you posted uses a "predicted" rate which is false. There were no deaths in the unvaccinated group. 3.6K views · 309 likes · 62 reposts · 3 replies Open on X →

A new study shows HPV vaccination in England has led to the number of deaths from cervical cancer falling to zero in vaccinated women under 25. Please encourage all eligible children to get vaccinated. https://t.co/YuX2BCR6gz https://t.co/Hbb3u4NSXS 199.6K views · 2.4K likes · 770 reposts · 392 replies Open on X →

This is a false statement by omission. It should say that cervical cancer deaths fell to zero in young women irrespective of vaccination status. That is multifactorial due to change in screening and under-age sexual activity in the UK. No RCT has shown a reduction in cancer 68.8K views · 1.4K likes · 455 reposts · 36 replies Open on X →

(1/7) The Tobacco and Vapes Act has now received Royal Assent and becomes law. Smoking has killed and disabled millions of people. Most smokers wish they had never started but are trapped by addiction to nicotine- addiction takes their choice away. https://t.co/9hoJC8SNFr 33.1K views · 155 likes · 31 reposts · 43 replies Open on X →
