NOT SO FAST! Look at these! 😈 I knew it! I actually managed to create a glass layer on every single one of these objects! Okay, okay… technically, this time it wasn’t precipitation. I basically took the stuff after it had thickened up and poured it all over them. So I guess htt 2.3K views · 59 likes · 4 reposts · 9 replies Open on X →

Another beautiful example of glass layer on a piece of stone from Canada 🇨🇦 And this was made without my help. @HP4285 figured out himself how to do it! 👏 6.8K views · 163 likes · 4 reposts · 7 replies Open on X →

Let’s see what happened to all these materials after I dipped them into the magical glass-forming liquid. As you can see, the entire surface of the liquid has completely solidified. But I was still able to push the side of the container in, which means that underneath, it is htt 12.5K views · 178 likes · 6 reposts · 29 replies Open on X →

I can’t specify the formula yet as it’s under NDA and for Marcell to publish. So far the result is beautiful and hard https://t. 21.9K views · 142 likes · 6 reposts · 13 replies Open on X →

Yes, your guess was correct, the main ingredient was waterglass, the source of SiO2 that precipitated on the stones in a thick layer. That’s clear. But waterglass doesn’t “attack” a plunged stone like this. You can submerge a piece of stone into it, leave it there for days and 7.4K views · 71 likes · 0 reposts · 7 replies Open on X →

More info about this: actually, I didn’t want to create a glass layer on these stones, that’s why I didn’t take meaningful notes about what I was using in which order. Bad excuse, I know, but this is what happened. I really didn’t expect that result. My goal was to make my 12.1K views · 184 likes · 7 reposts · 10 replies Open on X →

Today’s sensation: stone vitrification at room temperature. The recipe is a complete secret. Even from me. 🤣 I mixed this with that, dipped the stones into it, and somehow ended up with a glass layer several millimeters thick on their surfaces. No oven, no high temperatures — I 410.5K views · 1.2K likes · 66 reposts · 100 replies Open on X →
