Congratulations to Amb Dallafior on her historic appointment as OPCW Director-General @OPCW_DG. As her term begins, in a time of escalating chemical weapons-related threats, I assure her of our continued close cooperation to uphold the global norm against these inhumane weapons. 2.9K views · 23 likes · 6 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

I regret that NPT States Parties could not reach agreement on an outcome document. At a time of growing global instability, NPT remains the cornerstone of our collective security. Next five years must be time for our collective efforts to restore credibility of the Treaty. 5.5K views · 50 likes · 25 reposts · 3 replies Open on X →

Pope Francis was a true inspiration and hope for people of all faiths, worked for peace and for the poorest and most vulnerable, and was a strong supporter of UN efforts. Humanity and humility I’ve learned from him will continue to guide my service for a “united human family”. 13.6K views · 88 likes · 35 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

There is a “once in a lifetime moment” - I had such a moment today. Private audience with His Holiness Pope Francis @Pontifex gave me strength, inspiration & courage for our work for peace through disarmament efforts. His warmth, humility & love for people touched me deeply. http 0 views · 474 likes · 58 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →
