Well outside of the crashing cars thing, there was actually a moment very close to it in Resident Evil Requiem, except it was Leon on a lift being weighed down by zombies walking off high building windows & roofs to weight down weight capacity.
It's really not that far off.

@AestheticGamer1 I dont remember zombie falling from a rooftop and crash on cars in any RE. They wrote the script before to get the IP. There is no manor. No 7 feet tall dude with claws. Its not a RE.

I've seen both [REC] 1 & 2, someday I need to sit down & watch 3 & 4. I actually watched [REC] 2 for an official review where the distribution company sent me an early copy of the film to review back when I was writing for Rely on Horror.
[REC] 1 is great, 2 is almost as good.

@AestheticGamer1 i'm so confused when people are anything other than gameplay first for resident evil
i love these characters but the insanely serious reverence for the lore "fans" have over these goofy ass cartoon people feels insanely disproportionate to me

(3/3) RE7 within it, to the point I would've said outside of Texas chainsaw Massacre it's the film that most reminds me of RE7. I genuinely believe he does have love for RE based off Barbarian, & I appreciate the angle of tackling a game movie based off its gameplay experience.

(2/3) video game, & frankly even n what has been glimpsed it's rare to see someone directing a video game film care so much about the actual gameplay experience of a game. Having seen Barbarian before it was announced he was directing Resident Evil, that film has some clear love

(1/3 Another thing I want to say for Zach Cregger's Resident Evil, & my opinion on the things he's said.
IMO, it's completely obvious Cregger is gameplay first kinda' guy over story with RE. I think it's clear a big passion for him with the film was to direct it like it was a

I'm sorry my Twitter followers, I'm feeling more compelled to talk about horror movies recently. I watch so many & I have so much to say on so many.

The one thing I'll mention is though that's the public facing list, it also only gives insight into part of the truth here. Like Sonic 4: Episode 2 is only included as "one depot" in the list, but has DOZENS of betas in its depot, so this raw list only includes front-end stuff.

There's so much to dig through, but confirmed stuff:
Batman: Arkham Asylum beta content
Dragon Age: Origins pre-release build
Vampire: Masquerade Bloodlines betas
Mirror's Edge prototypes from 2007
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare betas
Spore betas
Just tip of the iceberg here!

(2/2) This includes beta builds of Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Counter-Strike, third party games like Sonic 4, ton of indie games, etc.
It's very recent, over a dozen terabytes in size, a lot to sort through, & this whole situation is going to probably get really messy very quickly

(1/2) That Valve leak that just happened a few hours ago might actually be one of the biggest video game leaks of all time. It will be interesting to see how this all goes down.
Basically a shit ton of beta builds uploaded to Steam in-between 2003 - 2013 has leaked.
