@Brett_McMurphy What is the point of the NCAA having a "Football Oversight Committee" if they can't correct things? No one cares about their opinion 10 days later if they can't fix the problem.

@Brett_McMurphy Some things that actually can be done:
1. The school amends any bonus clauses tied to win total to require 1 fewer.
2. CFP committee members treat the game as if the final play didn’t happen when deciding on rankings.
3. Bowl games treat WMU as if they had 1 more

We're sorry Western Michigan. NCAA Football Oversight Committee said if instant replay protocals at Michigan had been correctly followed, game's outcome would have been different.
But they can't overturn the result. Remains a Michigan victory

@Brett_McMurphy FSU hasn't played @ Virginia Tech since 2012. So 2027 will mark 15 years, that's gotta be near the longest gap for not playing @ a conference opponent

@Brett_McMurphy This is incredibly unstable. Can they be called a Power 4 conference if they can’t figure out how to schedule an equal number of conference games for all teams?

@Brett_McMurphy Clemson should be forced to play 9 as well, we do not care about their rival game against Scar.

@Brett_McMurphy Wartburg just couldn't do much on offense after the 1st qtr. were up 14-7 at half with a pick 6 right before half. Had a 3rd and goal from the 1 ft mark and then a 4th and goal from the inches and couldn't punch it in the 2nd. https://t.co/qnjKrCsGBd

@Brett_McMurphy Great article. One correction. “Texas Tech won its first Big 12 championship last season, its first conference title since a co-Southwest Conference title nearly 50 years ago.” Actually it was 32 years ago, in 1994.

@Brett_McMurphy @On3 Perhaps the NCAA should have done a better job with their “5 for 5” policy, which permits student-athletes to compete for five seasons within a five-year eligibility period.
This model effectively eliminates traditional redshirts and targets athletes enteri

@Brett_McMurphy @On3 There are no hoops. It’s just fifth year players that left because they had no other option. Not like someone taking a sixth year by court because of a sore throat
