Well, only about 50 more 9/11 posts left today (and I say “only” because it’s 1/8th of the total number). I’m glad for how well-prepared I was. I think it went well. A couple hiccups, but otherwise it has been fine. Dreading the dark events to come. 101.3K views · 3.4K likes · 27 reposts · 151 replies Open on X →

The rebelling passengers on Flight 93 were probably the biggest heroes of 9/11. They were the only ones that day who were civilians (non-firefighter, police, or military) and, reasonably certain they would die, did a difficult and courageous thing with only 45 minutes’ notice. 58.6K views · 1.1K likes · 57 reposts · 23 replies Open on X →

@MannyMarotta Out of curiosity, how old are you? A lot of people don't know how easy it was to fly pre-9/11. I carried on a sword I bought in Kenya on a fight back to the states in the mid 90s. A flight attendant just asked that I put it in the coat check closet. 9.6K views · 74 likes · 0 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

@MannyMarotta It’s was well coordinated and they knew the airline hijacking directive at the time was to listen to the hijackers. The airline hijacking directive never took into account hijackers willing to give up their lives. 7.3K views · 81 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

I’m listening to the Betty Ong phone call right now and I’m crying, today is going to be rough. Did what she could to stop Flight 11 from reaching the North Tower. Died a heroine. https://t.co/rMwisoRcrm

@MannyMarotta It’s also crazy of how quick the towers fell after being hit . All within two hours . I remember more about the recovery than the attacks . 16.9K views · 86 likes · 0 reposts · 3 replies Open on X →

Something I’m shocked to have learned just today is that within ONE hour of taking off, both hijacked WTC flights reached their targets. It’s insane that in just 50 minutes the hijackers were able to take control of both flights and get them where they wanted. 135.3K views · 1.8K likes · 21 reposts · 38 replies Open on X →

Good morning everyone I’ve gotten a cumulative 14 hours of sleep over the past three days because I’ve been preparing for this so hard And the crazy part is that it doesn’t end at midnight, the onslaught of headlines continues at fever-pitch until around 20 September 71.7K views · 3K likes · 32 reposts · 60 replies Open on X →
