Here’s the difference:
A+ LONG = setup forms above PDH
A+ SHORT = setup forms below PDL
A LONG / SHORT = setup forms inside PDH and PDL
Same ORB.
Different context.
That’s why I grade the trade before I think about size.

WHERE comes before WHEN.
PDH and PDL tell me where price is trading relative to the prior day.
The ORB helps tell me when it’s time to pay attention.
Higher timeframe = WHERE
Lower timeframe = WHEN
That’s the foundation.
