“Countdown at Kusini” was shot entirely in Nigeria, (Lagos and its environs), beginning in 1974. It was released on April 26, 1976. The director, Ossie Davis, had done Wole Soyinka’s ‘Kongi’s Harvest’ (1970). The name was changed to ‘Cool Red’ (with a different cover). https://t.
