@thegolfeditor LIV golf is the worst type of golf played on the planet and can't end soon enough 6K views · 18 likes · 0 reposts · 5 replies Open on X →

I ended up speaking to both players. It’s not always the easiest conversation to have with star athletes when they fall short of winning, but each was talkative and lavished praise on Herbert. They realized it was his week; there was nothing they could do about it. 9🔽 12K views · 25 likes · 1 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

Seeing them interact with fans reinforces how much of a privilege it’s been to work with all our LIV golfers these first 5 seasons, criss-crossing the globe and telling their stories. Have no idea what the future holds but hopefully this wild ride finds a way to continue. 11⏹️ 11.4K views · 100 likes · 2 reposts · 13 replies Open on X →

I left there impressed by how each one took care of the fans. For Hatton, it was the end of a 3-week stretch. For Bryson, well, his last 2 weeks have been well-documented. Each was likely mentally and physically drained, but they found energy for their supporters. 10🔽 11.9K views · 33 likes · 1 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

I thought he might’ve been disappointed to finish second – especially after losing a stroke to the winner despite shooting a bogey-free 9-under 63 - but he seemed content and happy to be among his 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 fans. 7🔽 12.3K views · 30 likes · 1 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

And then as Tyrrell finished up signing for all the people on the left side, he walked back to the start of the line and signed for all the fans on the right side of the rope line. More selfies followed. 8🔽 12.1K views · 33 likes · 1 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

That’s when I began to worry that if anybody else showed up wanting an autograph, Bryson might be left walking to the clubhouse in his skivvies. 5🔽 13.5K views · 30 likes · 1 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →

Meanwhile, Tyrrell obliged every fan who wanted a selfie. In fact, he often took the photo himself after fans kept giving him their phones. Each time, he flashed a big smile under that beard. 6🔽 https://t.co/2yDwPE3Dad

Just as he seemed finished, another fan showed up late. He wanted an autograph but like the little girl, had nothing to sign. So Bryson took off his Crushers sweater he wore during the round (the one in the photo), signed it and gave it to the boy. Game-used again! 4🔽 https://t

An observation 🧵from post-round Sunday at #LIVGolf UK … After Lucas Herbert’s 30-under win, I sought to interview Tyrrell Hatton and Bryson DeChambeau, who finished 2-3 and were grouped with him for the final 36 holes. Wanted their thoughts on his dominant performance. 1🔽 142.8K views · 143 likes · 8 reposts · 19 replies Open on X →

I waited for both players as they made their way separately through the lengthy corridor of fans waiting on both sides off the 18th green wanting autographs. It took awhile, as they signed as many as possible. 2🔽 15.4K views · 21 likes · 1 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

At one point, Bryson noticed a young girl being held aloft by her father. She had a big smile on her face but had nothing for him to sign. So he took off his own cap, signed it and then placed it on her head. Game-used! 3🔽 14.9K views · 59 likes · 1 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →
