In Pakhtunkhwa, esp the tribal areas, we have not only witnessed war but lived through drone attacks, mortar and artillery shelling, and bomb blasts—often reaching affected sites ourselves afterward. When civilians bear the cost, peace feels ever more distant.

The Pakhtunkhwa people paid an enormous price in the war against militancy: homes were destroyed, communities displaced, livelihoods lost, & countless lives sacrificed.
People endured these hardships with the hope that the war would eventually bring back peace & normal life

At the time, people protested strongly against this incident. The state also acknowledged that such conduct was wrong, and some measures were taken to prevent similar behaviour.
But the bigger question remains:
