@DrSuneelDhand I super dose with magnesium and potassium before my Drs visit, therefore my BP is around 120/80. (I self monitor and daily it’s about 135/95. I’m not worried.)

@DrSuneelDhand I fully agree. I do nott worry too much about an individual blood-pressure reading unless I see a consistent upward trend — then I look at what I can change.
Just now: 122/68.
After COVID, I was often between 140–160 systolic. I chose not to take medication at th

@DrSuneelDhand I just lowered my LDL from 164 to 116 in 2 years with diet and exercise. My doc said, "sorry, Mr Schulman, we lowered 'normal' more quickly than you lowered your actual."

Authorities are getting "stricter" with blood pressure guidelines all the time.
On so many levels, it's crazy that a 25-year-old and a 75-year-old should have that same "ideal pressure" of 120/80.
Here's what the medical establishment should be doing more:
1. Emphasizing that

@DrSuneelDhand I am 68 and take exactly zero meds. I think because in my early years I never allowed a doctor to bully me into taking any in my younger years.

It is estimated that 40% of people in the United States age 18 to 45 take at least one ongoing prescription medication
How on earth did we normalize this? A tiny minority of people under the age of 40 should be taking regular meds.
Absolute bloody insanity

I’m a Doctor and my personal health goal is to avoid all doctors and medications.
I never want to be on any prescription drug. My nightmare is to have to take a daily medication and be reliant on the pharmaceutical industry

One day the medical profession will understand the importance of checking a FASTING INSULIN level— in my opinion one of the best markers of health and longevity.
It’s a travesty that doctors are currently only taught about fasting glucose and HbA1c to diagnose insulin

Completely disagree with this viewpoint. I don’t know who this MD is, but examining the patient is a core part of being a doctor
But I guess maybe the medical establishment views this as time away from tickboxes and persuading patients to take statins and ineffective vaccines ht

I wish those on the other side of the COVID debacle understood that 99% of us would have had no problem at all if they just didn’t try to illegally force us to take their crap product.
All we wanted was for you to respect bodily autonomy and leave us the f* alone.

@DrSuneelDhand I am amazed at how many years a cardiologist spends in college just to say "statins". Seems like it should be a very brief online class.

@DrSuneelDhand I can either take my statins, or ride my bicycle 60 miles a week. I went with the latter.

If a doctor gets more upset that their patient won’t take a statin, than he/she does that they won’t cut back on sugar or walk more— that doctor completely lacks any sense of priorities

It's no exaggeration to say that the United States is facing a health catastrophe of epic proportions with the amount of adolescents and young people under 40 diagnosed with conditions like type 2 diabetes and other inflammatory conditions.
This has literally never happened http
