There’s a community their children are well mannered, respectful, over achieving, never in conflicts. They always get picked up by parents or grandma. They always get a high level of nurture and attention. Could be linked I don’t know

As a teacher and a parent my son was always the first one at breakfast club and last one getting picked up. Nothing wrong with being a working parent but you notice how the economy has both parents working and less time with our children ofc the lack of attention will transpire

One of the first things I mentioned was lack of attention. Best believe your behaviour affects how your child behaves. I even have a hypothesis about children that spend considerable amounts of time in afterschool club rather than in parents company

During school dismissal we tend to observe parents behaviour. The parent that hugs the child first thing, positive body language and smile then ask where is your water bottle. Compared to the ones on the phone or the ones first thing is shouting where’s your jumper etc

I can only speak from the POV of a primary school former teacher where exclusions happen hardly ever tbh but I still stand on what I said. If your child is getting excluded stop trying to blame the teachers. Look into their behaviour

In H*rris Federation schools we are always taught to look at a child that’s behaving outside of the norm and give them extra grace as 1 they are children 2 the chaos they displaying is often a reaction of what is going inside. We’re not here to police them but to help them

Teachers are not perfect and are not always gonna get it 100% right but in the years i was a teacher and those I was training as one if I’m not sure I simply wouldn’t punish anyone but give a warning. I always tried to make a balanced call

The statistics shows how much more black students get expelled compared to others. It doesn’t say they were unfairly targeted and punished. In this 2026, I have a hard time believing in “the school and the teachers are evil and racist”

You didn’t get expelled because you were black nor was you treated unfairly. You simply was unruly. So many children get given so many chances and sometimes you would think they would get excluded the head will say no we won’t go that far.

The reality in schools is that above 90% of high performing pupils, are the ones that behave properly and listen. A high portion of the pupils that are polite and silent and respectful are South Asian. The ones that are disruptive are unfortunately often in our demographic
