@dsiroker The quantization reduction from 1.56TB to ~389GiB is the part that really stands out. 18 views · 0 likes · 0 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →

Context rot is a real problem with Fable 5 and GPT 5.6 Sol. Solution: 1. tell your current session to write a hand-off document for a new session 2. clear your context or start a new session and have it read the hand off document 3. profit 2.6K views · 27 likes · 1 reposts · 12 replies Open on X →

@dsiroker This is quite the setup for local AI. 431 views · 1 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →

AGI achieved locally. I got Kimi K3’s 2.8T-param MoE (104B active/token) to run on my Mac Studio M3 Ultra with 512GB unified memory. Mixed Q1/Q4/Q8 quant shrank from 1.56TB to 389.4GiB. Metal hits 3.36 tok/s. The future is already here, it's just not very evenly distributed.

@dsiroker good takeaways. and i agree with you, this has nothing to do with saving money. it's about owning your intelligence. and it's incredible you can own intelligence basically as good as opus 4.8 1.9K views · 9 likes · 0 reposts · 2 replies Open on X →
