This is a good step forward for the players. Hopefully real action follows. When I sat on the ATP player council it was challenging even getting conversations about Grand Slam’s contributing to the pension plan off the ground. 2.3K views · 22 likes · 1 reposts · 0 replies Open on X →
Introducing the Grand Slam Player Advisory Council, launching after the 2026 US Open. The Council will provide a new platform for players and the Grand Slams to work together to shape the future of the tournaments and advance our shared goal of greater player support. https://t
Grand Slam Player Council: Shaping the future together
Having a seat at the table with the Grand Slams is something we have wanted for some time, so I'm really pleased to see this Council come together. It gives us as players, a real opportunity to have a voice, contribute to the conversation and help shape the tournaments beyond what happens on the court. - Ben Shelton on the Grand Slam player council
The Grand Slams are the biggest events of the year and the events that the players prioritize and focus on throughout the season. Their impact on a player's career cannot be overstated, and that is why it is so important that we have a voice in matters at these tournaments. The formation of the Player Council represents that, and I am pleased that the Grand Slams have put this forward. - Jessica Pegula on the Grand Slam player council

How can common sense from the chair umpire not come into play here? It’s clearly out, the automated line calling got it wrong. You can’t blindly accept a computer. 36.9K views · 188 likes · 8 reposts · 19 replies Open on X →
Since retiring one of the best things I’ve been able to do is spend more time on court with Tony Roche, including this last week. When in action I’m reminded how good he is. His resume - Lendl, Rafter, Hewitt and Federer. He needs to be more involved in Aus tennis. World class! 9.2K views · 182 likes · 7 reposts · 4 replies Open on X →
There’s a big opportunity for innovation before blowing up the doubles tour. Different formats for doubles weekly at the ATP events. Fast4 format, tie break tens - shorter formats, traditional formats - mixed in throughout the season’s schedule. Time to innovate 👊 5.8K views · 52 likes · 0 reposts · 10 replies Open on X →
@johnhmillman *only omission* pulling heavy weight here. It's literally the only thing that matters. Penalties are draconian because athletes cheat. Ind. arbiter ruled. Signed doc saying she refused test, then goes and walks her dog at night, yet plays the fear/panic attack card? 2.7K views · 36 likes · 0 reposts · 3 replies Open on X →
@johnhmillman Not taking the test is worse, because if you only got a 1 or 3 month ban for not taking the test then everyone would just dope and refuse the test. Do you not think before you post? 2.6K views · 46 likes · 0 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
@johnhmillman The question is: why did she refuse? Knowing the consequences 3.7K views · 54 likes · 2 reposts · 1 replies Open on X →
The four-year ban for Vondrousova is so far too severe. Has never failed a test, was diligent with her whereabouts, and her only omission was refusing a test outside of her whereabouts times. Four-years… that’s crazy. Where’s the common sense gone? 93.6K views · 972 likes · 82 reposts · 90 replies Open on X →
