@kunley_drukpa It’s actually impressive how EU Politicians are so committed to the importation of African and MENA immigrants that they will willingly let their own parties die and let “fascist “parties surge.
They are just so committed to this policy for some reason.

You are a European Centrist Political Party that likes high levels of migration but also wants to preserve the European Union. Here is the catch - in order to do so you would have to listen to voter demands and reduce migration. Which vision for Europe would you choose? https://t

Personally I think the benefits of the EU are large and worth preserving, while the benefits of African and MENA immigration are small to negative, so I would just listen to the voters and cave to their demands if I was a centrist party.

@kunley_drukpa Strangely enough, the biggest disparity I've seen in this regard was Armenia. Yerevan is beautiful; lots of new skyscrapers. The country outside of Yerevan is falling apart. Many of Gyumri's buildings were never repaired after the Spitak earthquake, roads are horri

A lot of Third World countries today have a set-up where there is a developed, modern area of their major city and then much of the rest of the country still looks like it did fifty years ago ie poor. This is why a major test of how Third World a country is is ‘does it have a htt

Baghdad looks good in some areas. Living here is not bad. My problems with this place aren't necessarily livelihood ones. But Iraq is still a third world country at 6k per capita. Just because one city has Korean restaurants and malls and good streets doesn't mean it's not. https

THE TIER 2 CHINESE CITY EXPERIENCE 🇨🇳
Do think it can be a little overstated how developed China is. Or at least, how futuristic it feels to actually live in China ‘for most people’. Not always quite the cyberpunk-modernity you sometimes see it portrayed it as on X, in the sense

WHAT IS BOTSWANA LIKE? 🇧🇼
Sometimes people talk about Botswana as one of the most developed, advanced countries in Africa, point to it as example of competent government significantly improving quality of life. This is sort of true but has to be asterisked that that is relative

ETHIOPIAN VILLAGE WATCHES ME PISS 🇪🇹
When you look at these images of Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa, for me what is especially notable is how recent these new highend developments are. Actually even in the 2010s when I visited it wasn’t like this; wasn’t a total shithole had ht

@kunley_drukpa Couple observations of London. It doesn’t feel “dangerous”, it just feels really a seedy, graceless place where the elites are catered to and ordinary people have no place or dignity. At least the city center feels that way.

@kunley_drukpa Hug a road man, brutha.
Notting Hill 2 should be me falling in love with my Road Man coke dealer (he is a single parent that sometimes sends his 12 year old son to make deliveries).
It's just racist not to like how the UK is changing bruv.

Isn’t that London is now an unliveable hellhole, it is still Basically Fine in many parts - is more that it is undergoing a process of ‘enshittification’ where quality of life on certain metrics gets slowly worse over time. So you can tolerate it but things are worse than before

"London is being set up as this dystopian hellhole where you can barely walk out of your door... it's a Trump import!"
Has the UK borrowed America’s favourite political tactic, scaremongering the "city"?
